Grief Recovery Workshop – Finding Hope and Healing

Provides a safe place for a 12 week journey, taking a closer look in understanding the grief and mourning process and to provide navigation on unchartered territory. By masterminding with fellow grievers you will gain a sense of validation and connection.

“Only people who are capable of loving strongly can also suffer great sorrow, but this same necessity of loving serves to counteract their grief and heals them.” ― Leo Tolstoy

Participants learn that while everyone’s grief journey is different, the tumultuous emotions they’ve felt are not only common, they’re normal. One participant reported, “It's been almost two years and thought I knew everything about it, but this course opened my eyes. It was such a relief to learn that all these bad feelings have a reason, that I’m not going crazy, and that it will eventually get better.”

Developed to provide a structured, closer look in understanding the grief and mourning process and to provide navigation on unchartered territory. This course uses the model from Dr. Alan Wolfelt’s book Understanding Your Grief – Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope and Helping Yourself Heal.

Here's what Healing Connections Graduates are saying:

“I’ve learned there is no time on grieving; I am where I am supposed to be according to me; that I can do it at my own pace; that I am not insane.”

“I shared this with my family and friends and we have been more able to talk about what has happened; I feel I have also helped them.”

“I am willing now to acknowledge that I do ‘need help’ on the journey and I see better how/when I can ask for help when I need to.”

“This mastermind has been such a tremendous help to me. Being able to relate to others and them to me was a comfort.”

“[This workshop] has helped me start to heal. I have some hope now. I have seen healing in my children through my progress.”

“[The workshop] has made me more aware of my mourning – what it is and how normal it is – how necessary it is. It’s given me friends who understand, encourage and support.”

“[The workshop] has helped me open up and discuss my loss instead of being afraid to say something wrong.”

“This mastermind has been wonderful to express what has been locked up for so long. I love the friends I have made”

“This group gave me something to look forward to when the grief became too exhausting. It was like a weekly release that gave me the drive to keep up my spirit for a few more days.”

“[This workshop] was the best of three groups I have been involved in because we can talk of specific problems of young widows.”
